FUNDRAISING
Culver's Fundraising Night
October 2023, January 2025
We received 10% of the evenings' profits, and we distributed flyers containing information about our organization, along with a QR code to facilitate donations. Additionally, some of our members successfully obtained cash donations by engaging with customers. After the events, we were able to collect just over four hundred dollars each night.
VOLUNTEERING
Kids' Food Basket
February 2026
FHCI members volunteered at Kids' Food Basket, helping with numerous tasks. Our members packaged tortilla chips, made sandwiches, and cut cucumbers. The food our members helped prepare will be distributed to KFB's locations across West Michigan to help those affected by food insecurity. We are grateful to have the opportunity to use your time to bless others in need.
Kids' Food Basket
August 19, 2025
Over the summer, our members once again volunteered with Kids' Food Basket. This time, they were at the Kids' Food Basket Farm, where they picked 10 pounds of Swiss chard, 30 pounds of lettuce, and sorted and packaged 40 pounds of cherry tomatoes. We love to see our members excited to serve our community.
Kids' Food Basket
April 22, 2025
FHCI members volunteered at Kids' Food Basket for another opportunity to give back to the community. Our volunteers had a successful day, reclaiming around 50 lbs of grapes. We are excited for the continued growth of our partnership with Kids' Food Basket and hope to continue to emphasize the importance of giving back with both donations and our time.
Feeding America WM
Over the past three years, our group has been volunteering at Feeding America West Michigan. Through this partnership, we have emphasize to our members the importance amd impact of even a few hours of service. In the coming months, FHCI is planning to continue these volunteer efforts.
Kids' Food Basket
FHCI has connected with Kids' Food Basket to provide its members with another volunteer opportunity. Our experience with FAWM made our tasks—packaging meals, weighing ingredients, and stocking trucks—much easier! We hope to continue working with Kid's Food Basket in the future and are considering them as a destination for monetary donations.
