EDUCATION
At Forest Hills Charitable Investments, our commitment to positive change extends beyond traditional approaches. We believe that true impact is achieved not only through financial growth, but also through sharing knowledge and empowering others. That's why we have embraced a unique strategy that combines hands-on investing with a team of dedicated student analysts and aspiring investors.
We recognize the importance of equipping the next generation with the tools they need for a successful future. Our organization pairs student investors with accomplished professionals, providing a platform for experiential learning in the world of finance. This approach gives students real-world insights that are incredibly valuable as they chart their own paths toward financial success.
To maximize the growth potential for our students, our members are divided into four specialized investment groups. This allows our students to dive deep into the nuances of their specialization, building their expertise in that field, and helping our group diversify our portfolio while making educated investments.
Our students are able to track the performance of their selected stocks through our portfolio, thus providing them a realistic experience of the stock market with minimal personal risk. Any earnings generated by FHCI's portfolio are either reinvested for the purpose of education or donated to partnering non-profits
INVESTMENT TEAMS
Growth
Our growth team focuses on identifying undervalued, fast growing companies with high potential return, particularly in the short term. Such analysis prioritizes a highly technical approach to stocks: looking at PE ratio, PEG ratio, and other metrics while identifying catalysts and increased cash flow opportunities.
Dividend
A dividend stock refers to a public company that regularly distributes a portion of its earnings, usually in the form of cash, to its shareholders. Investing in dividend stocks gaurantee some gains while simultaneously providing a portfolio backbone to manage risk by holding consistently performing companies.
Value
Value investing involves selecting stocks that appear to be trading for less than their intrinsic or book value. Value investors believe that market reactions, particularly to news, do not correspond to a company's long-term fundamentals. The overreaction offers an opportunity to profit by buying stocks at discounted prices.
Small-Cap & Mid-Cap
Small- & Mid-Cap investing identifies lesser known, lower valued companies with high potential for growth. Small- & Mid-Cap investors learn the financial differences separating these companies from more established firms. This team learns to identify underlying strenths that are not always visible through ordinary metrics.
